The RGDAC5 has moved on with the addition of a USB input whilst offering the same design as the legendary RGCD5ENR (minus its CDROM drive and associated power supply).
ALL REDGUM CD Players and DACs ** have always had an additional chip to reclock and reshape the data – from the start, most unusual in the world of CD players!
So, when we say that this RGDAC5 unit will turn any, repeat “any” CD transport or DVD player with ‘digital out’ into a stunning CD Player! … well, we have yet to be contradicted!
Even better (in case you’re desperate), you can remain in your comfort zone by using the remote controls that came with “any” of them.

In other words, to find out what a RGDAC5 sounds like, then read any review for a RGCD5 or RGCD5ENR (aka the RGCD5 plus a filter upgrade). And for the RGDAC2, read reviews for the RGCD2.

REDGUM RGS Manna
First presented as the RGS28i, these are the little speakers that stunned them in England, even back in 1998. In fact, spontaneous ovations during Shows have been known to break out after their performance! Continuing as a 2-way, 2 driver system, they were re-designed internally as the RGSB Bookshelf Loudspeaker (christened Manna*) … using exclusively high-voltage metallized polypropylene caps … heavy 1mm wire for the bass coil … all connections silver soldered … and internal hook-up throughout with 12 AWG OFC copper. REDGUM RGS Lucens
REDGUM’s original Floorstanders were released as the RGS38i in 1998 completing our 2 Channel system range. They were the ones that ‘froze’ the downstairs area of the Melbourne Home Entertainment show when we played the Chinese Drum track. The same speaker that had the light fittings rattling at the Melbourne Audio Club hall for the first time in the Club’s history! All good, very clean fun! Now in this era of “makeovers” they have evolved internally into the RGS Lucens Floorstanding Loudspeakers … maintaining the same “body build” but with the added muscle of drivers shielded with dual magnets and consultant-designed crossovers. The family resemblance is more than skin deep … though what a glowing complexion the real Red Gum wood veneer adds to any room!
REDGUM Splendens (Pre – Power)
The more power it gives you, well, the more words fail us to describe the SPLENDENS! Except for the obvious >250W/ch (8Ω).
The clue is in its origins. Simply put, take the the RGM175 Monoblock System (175W/ch), upgrade it to the Signature Series RGM175ENR (200W/ch). And then let it quietly evolve over the years.
Having now morphed into the Splendens Monoblock Pre-Power System, it still brings together the the principles of the RG175p Dual Mono Volume Passive Preamp with two RG175ENRm Signature Series Monoblock Power Amplifiers. And then some.
So while you are finding the words for it in the music, watch out, too, for what the musicians are thinking!!
REDGUM Splendens (Power Channel)
As much as we are convinced the SPLENDENS Power channel sounds best playing with its twin brother and sister (the Stereo Passive Preamp), feel free to create your own combinations for Stereo or Home Theatre outings.
When going solo, it is no wallflower. In fact, it can be quite outspoken once let off the leash. With the massive Damping Factor that all REDGUM amplifiers contain, its tight, clean bass is happy to form the pulse of any occasion.
